Visitor service and public programme
With the aid of its visitor service and extensive public programmes, steirischer herbst seeks to initiate and promote a broad discussion of contemporary art. The aim is to get as many different sections of the population as possible interested and involved in the various festival services.
With the main focus of this year's festival on innovative projects in the field of dramatic arts, new forms of art education have been developed for this artistic discipline.
As a forum for contemporary art that consciously reflects on social events, integrating young visitors is of special importance to steirischer herbst. Dialogue and exchange between artists and young people is a key component of educational work at steirischer herbst.
Programme presentations In the run-up to the steirischer herbst festival, director Peter Oswald presents this year's programme.
herbst exhibition tour Guided tours of galleries offer insights into the festival exhibitions and allow you to meet artists, curators and gallery owners.
Programmes for dramatic art and new music theatre In order to ensure active interaction with visitors, in addition to the well-established NachRede event, we also offer the opportunity to attend lectures, introductions and discussions with directors, composers and artists.
Services for young visitors steirischer herbst offers school-goers and young people a number of different options for encountering contemporary art: programme presentations in schools, art education for specific age groups, workshops on visual arts, music, literature and drama.
