Visitor service and public programme
The visitor service and extensive public programmes of steirischer herbst are an expression of the effort to initiate and promote a broad discussion of contemporary art.
Getting a young audience interested and involved in this discourse is an especially important goal of the festival, particularly as steirischer herbst – as an explorative festival – is constantly analysing and consciously reflecting on current social events.
Dialogue and exchange between artists and young people is a key component of educational work at steirischer herbst.
Programme presentations
In the run-up to the steirischer herbst festival, director Peter Oswald presents this year’s programme, which will be focusing on new music and performance.
herbst exhibition tour
Guided tours of galleries offer insights into the festival exhibitions and allow you to meet artists, curators and gallery owners.
Programmes for performance and new music theatre
In order to ensure active interaction with visitors, in addition to the well-established NachRede and herbst frühstück events, we also offer the opportunity to attend discussions with directors, composers, artists and theorists.
Services for young visitors
steirischer herbst offers school-goers and young people a number of different options for encountering contemporary art: programme presentations in schools, age-specific art education, workshops, and special services for trainees.
